Darrell Kaufman (Northern Arizona University) and colleagues have just published another carefully constructed record – using multiple data sources – of climate in the Arctic over the last 2000 years. The upshot? After a general trend toward cooling for 1900 of those years, the most recent 100 dramatically reversed that trend. We’re warmer now than at any point in those 2000 years. Check out a synopsis of the research written by BBC Environment Correspondent Richard Black.
