Welcome Back Scissortails!

This post is a couple of weeks late, but we hosted the 2nd Annual (more or less) “Scissortail Celebration” back on April 18th.  Unlike the first one (October 2010) in which we bade our scissortails farewell for the winter, this event was a welcoming home celebration.  On a warm and windy evening at Boomer Lake, 18 people gathered for an hour to learn a bit more about scissortails and express our joy at their return.

We enjoyed an excellent “face-cake” decorated with one of my photos:

But the real star of the show was this guy.  Welcome back, scissortails!
