Wickedly cute and disturbing: Gray Mouse Lemur


As this photo from David Haring clearly illustrates, the Gray Mouse Lemur is a legitimate contender for World’s Cutest Creature:

I challenge anime artists to make a mouse lemur-inspired character that’s cuter than the real thing.  You can’t.  FACT.

Yet, this adorable little thing has recently been photographed in the wild engaged in behavior as grisly as the behav-er is cute:  cannibalism. Check out the story (and disturbing photo) at Sciencemag.org.
