New insights into avian vision


Fly like a bird.  Eat like a bird.  Sing like a bird.  These common expressions belie the human penchant for comparing our abilities to those of birds.  It’s envy mostly: we just don’t stack up that well against our feathered friends.  The things they do every day become superlatives to us.

Avian vision certainly applies here, and it’s rare that we get a chance to see like a bird. Joe Smith of the Cool Green Science blog gives us a chance to do that in a post today. Check it out!
